Harold "Bucky" Buck

Harold L. Buck age 82, of Goodhue passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Season Hospice House surrounded by family. The funeral service will be Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Goodhue with Pastor Regina Hassanally officiating. The visitation will be at 9:00 A.M at the church before the service, burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
Harold "Bucky" Leonard Buck was born on May 14, 1934 to Harry and Esther (Hinrichs) at the family farm in rural Zumbrota. Bucky was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church. He graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1952. He liked to tell people he was the valedictorian, but people always laughed. Bucky loved to dance and that is where he met his wife to be JoAnn Romo, they were married on July 27, 1957 at Trinity Lutheran in Wanamingo. Bucky farmed for most his life and he loved his work. After many years his sons took over running the farm but he continued to help. To keep himself busy he started working for Zumbrota Livestock where he stayed for 18 years. Bucky was a member of the Goodhue Lion's Club for 35+ years.
Bucky enjoyed playing cards, he was a member of the same card club for 35+ years, visiting with friends and going to the casino, spending 11 winters in FL, and spending time with family, his grandchildren and great-granddaughter were his greatest joys.
Bucky is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jo; five children, Rick (Donna) Buck, Mike Buck both of Goodhue, Bill (Emily) Buck of Rochester, Leean (Kevin) Dulitz of Albert Lea and Mari (Matt) Dillon of Apex, NC.; grandchildren, Keisha Lunning, Shandi, Griffen, Duell, and Cort Buck, Austin, Alex and Allison Dulitz, Kamdon and Kaleb Dillon; great-granddaughter, Mika Lunning; 2 brothers, Walt Buck of Lake City, Melroy (Edith) Buck of Bellechester; and one sister, Lucy Grothe of Lake City.
Bucky is preceded in death by his daughter, Lori; sister-in-law, Lois Buck; and his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Goodhue High School Scholarship program or Organization of Donor's choice
