Gwen Rae Kohner, age 66, of Red Wing, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in her sleep. On April 25, 1987, she married Steve Kohner, and the two have celebrated the past 37 years of life together.
Gwen's vibrant personality shone brightly throughout her life. She was a beacon of positivity, always upbeat, smiling, and friendly. Her joyful spirit radiated, especially within her family, where she was not just a devoted mother but also a very busy and loving GG. Gwen took immense pride in her children and grandchildren, creating countless memories filled with laughter and love. She cherished baking with her grandchildren, sharing moments of joy that gathered them around the kitchen, and found delight in shopping adventures, weekend getaways to the camper, and traveling with Steve and her family after retirement.
Gwen was a dedicated member of First Lutheran Church, where she actively participated in the quilting group and volunteered her time wherever needed and was also associated with Faith in Action.
