Gunnel Marie Carlson was born June 1, 1922 in St. Louis Park, MN where she was raised and graduated from High School. After graduation she worked for the Honeywell Corporation. On May 20, 1950 she married Edward J. Moline in Minneapolis, MN. The couple lived in Richfield, MN before moving to Rochester in 1968. Her husband worked in Government Finance and Gunnel was a homemaker and an active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. The couple moved to Ottumwa, IA in 1980 and returned to Rochester in 1989. In retirement, the couple operated a family horse boarding business, WestWind Acres, and were members of the Rochester Riders Saddle Club for many years. She enjoyed flowers and flower arranging, needlepoint, quilting, and taking care of her grandsons.
Survivors include her husband, Ed; three daughters, Roxanne (Mark) Darnell of Rochester; Wenda (Tom) Bowe of Prescott, WI; and Sharon (Tim) Renaux of Rochester; six grandsons, Andy (Amanda) Bowe, Scott (Catherine) Darnell, Steve (Kimberly) Bowe, Drew Renaux, Matt Bowe, and Ryan Renaux, and two great grandsons, Braiden Darnell, and Nolan Bowe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Alma Carlson, and her brother Ray Carlson.
