Gregory Peterson

A memorial service for Greg Peterson will be held Thursday May 8th at 10:30 AM at Mahn Family Funeral Home Larson Chapel in Zumbrota with the Reverend Kathy Lowery and the Reverend Paul Reppe officiating. Mr. Peterson, 54, of rural Pine Island, died Monday May 5, 2008 while at work at Land O' Lakes in Pine Island.
Gregory Charles Peterson was born December 21, 1953 in Zumbrota, the son of Donald and Betty Peterson. Raised in Roscoe Township on the family farm, he has resided there all of his life. He was a graduate of Wanamingo High School. On June 8, 1974 he married Shirley Brant in Kenyon. For many years, Greg was a part-time roofer and he has been employed at Land O' Lakes in Pine Island for 31 years. He was a member of Stordahl Lutheran Church, rural Zumbrota. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing horseshoes. He also enjoyed cooking.
Greg is survived by his wife, Shirley Peterson, rural Pine Island; parents, Don and Betty Peterson of Pine Island; 2 sons, Tyler (Mariko) Peterson of Pine Island, and Adam Peterson of Rochester; 3 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Sandy (Greg) Langley of Minnetonka, and Mary Vangsness of Pine Island; and 2 brothers, Gary (Harriet) Peterson of Wanamingo, and Stuart Peterson of Kenyon.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home in Zumbrota. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
