Gregg A. Haugen age 58 of Pine Island died on Sunday morning at the Rochester Methodist Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island with Reverend?s Kip Groettum and John Torris Lohre officiating. Burial will be in Kenyon Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17, 2006 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Mahler Chapel in Pine Island and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Gregg Arnold Haugen was born on July 20, 1948 in Faribault, MN to Arnold O. and Adeline M. (nee Westphal) Haugen. He grew up in Kenyon and graduated from Kenyon High School in 1966. Gregg attended Faribault Technical College for one year. On October 26, 1968 he married Shari Dahl in Kenyon. Their family moved around due to Gregg?s work at IBM. In 1988 they moved to Pine Island. Gregg retired from IBM after thirty four years and did over the road trucking for a couple of years. Greg was a member of the Rochester Area Harley Owners Group and Saint Paul Lutheran Church. He enjoyed riding his Harley and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed camping, boating and spending time with family, especially his three granddaughters. Gregg is survived by his wife, Shari, his children, Chad (Jen) Haugen of Rochester, Christa Allen of Rochester, and Scott Haugen of Lauderdale, MN, three granddaughters, Brenna Haugen-Gebhardt, Grace Lynn Haugen and Faith Rae Haugen, two sisters, Pat (Tom) Otte of Randolph and Bonnie (Deane) Smith of Coon Rapids and one brother, Bryan (Laura) Haugen of Kenyon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Adeline. Casketbearers are Daniel Smith, Joshua Benson, Tami Kropiwka, Dennis Westphal, Kyle Hansen, Scott Cox, Tom Otte, and Deane Smith. Honorary bearers are Brenna Haugen-Gebhardt, Grace Lynn Haugen and Faith Rae Haugen.
