Grace Helen Moore

ROCHESTER - Grace H. Moore, 87, of Grand Rapids, MN, formerly of Rochester, died Friday (June 29, 2012) at Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Grace H. Kalal was born Oct. 25, 1924 in Milford, Nebraska to Joe and Helen (Parkos) Kalal. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. After graduation, she went to work for Lincoln Telephone as a phone operator. She then moved to Crete, Nebraska where she worked for the Crete Mill as a secretary. While living in Crete, she met Don at a dance while he was home on leave.
On Nov. 11, 1945 she married Donald L. "Don" Moore in Crete, Nebraska. The couple moved to Chicago, IL where Don attended Radio school for two years and started his career with IBM. The couple moved to Madison, WI where Don served as a Customer Engineer for IBM for twenty years. They moved to Rochester in 1968 where he was a Service Engineer for IBM, retiring in 1986. Grace was a homemaker. Don died March 26, 2011. They were both members of the Community Presbyterian Church. Grace enjoyed traveling, cooking, and sewing.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra (Gordon) Chubbuck of Bovey, MN; her son, Donald (Cindy) Moore, Jr. of Monona, WI; grandchildren, Brent (Amy) Moore, Brandon Moore, Eric (Tammy Morris) Dublin, and Jennifer Ricafort, and great grandchildren, Zoe, and Samuel Moore, Haeleigh Morris, and Kayleigh and Nicholas Ricafort. Her brother, James F. Kalal, and her sister, Charmaine Siedschlag also preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be held at Noon on Saturday in Oakwood East Cemetery in Rochester. Memorials are suggested to the Grand Itasca Hospital and Clinic.
