Gloria Mae Bradley

October 28, 1931 — April 28, 2020

Gloria M. Bradley, formerly of Zumbrota, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in Eagan, Minnesota.

She was born October 28, 1931 in Morgan, Minnesota to Andrew and Catherine (Steffl)) Tauer, the youngest of five children. Gloria attended parochial and high school in Morgan. Upon graduation she attended St. Catherine University for one year, studying nursing. In 1950 she married Roy Bradley and to this union six children were born. After leaving Morgan, MN, Gloria lived in New Ulm, Madelia, Zumbrota and Eagan.

Faith was integral part of her life. Gloria was a faithful member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, playing organ for decades and as a member of Catholic Daughters. One could always a rosary and a stack of prayer books by her chair or bed. She lived her faith daily and was greatly admired for it.

Gloria was a great cook and baker. At Christmas, the front porch was filled with her holiday cookies and candy. Well known for her ability as a seamstress, she made countless alterations for people as well as sewing formals and wedding dresses for her daughters and granddaughter. She liked to do crossword puzzles, read, play bridge, watch football and Blue Bloods.

For many years, Gloria worked at the Zumbrota Veterinary Clinic. She started by taking farmer's calls, then bookkeeping and finally after training, became the lab technician.

Most travelling was to their lake home on Potato Lake near Park Rapids, where she liked to fish, work in her flower beds, garage sale and relax in the sun. The 4th of July family get-togethers were always looked forward to and remain a favorite memory of her extended family. Her trips to Mexico, Italy, the Vatican and the Holy Land were very memorable.

Gloria loved animals, especially the many dogs that became part of the household over the years along with numerous "pets", mostly wild, that her children and Roy brought home. But most of all, she loved her family and cherished time with them. She ardently supported her children's activities in and out of school and college. She always enjoyed hearing from and about her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She radiated love which was reflected in the way she treated and cared for everyone. She will be forever loved and missed.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roy; sisters, Ivona and Sister Catherine Ann, brothers Gordon and Kenneth; grandson, Alexander Stritesky; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

She is survived by her children, Lynne (Gene) Stritesky of Ogilvie, MN, Scott (Deborah) Bradley of Cambridge, MN, Pat (Beverly) Bradley of Edina, MN, Jody (Keith) Boraas of Coon Valley, WI, Kelly (Joanne) Bradley of Pewaukee, WI, Casey "Gus" (Michaela) Bradley of Newport Beach, CA; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends.
