Glennis Ruth Becker

Glennis Ruth Becker, 92, of Red Wing, died Monday, October 11, 2021, at her home at Deer Crest. She was born Oct. 31, 1928, in Cochrane, Wisconsin, to Henry and Myrtle (Hastings) Becker.  She graduated from Red Wing Central High School and worked at the Red Wing Shoe Company from 1954-1972.  She married Richard “Dick” Sanders of Hastings, Minnesota in 1948; he was the love of her life.  They later parted.  Glennis moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1972.  She was a lifetime member of the Southern Arizona Old Time Fiddlers Association.  She played at resorts, churches, funerals, nursing home all around Tucson and neighboring towns and campgrounds.  When her sister passed away in 2017, she returned to Red Wing, where she has since resided.

She is survived by a cousins, Gloria Bloom and Wanda Noah and their families.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Beverly; brother, Dallas; nephew, Duane Becker and a niece, Robin Dawson.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2021 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.  Burial will be at the Buffalo City Cemetery.     Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
