Glen Eugene Lewis

Glen Eugene Lewis, age 77, of Red Wing, Minnesota and formerly of Flat Rock, Michigan, died peacefully Friday, June 29, 2007, at St. Brigid's at Hi Park in Red Wing. The son of John and Nellie (Lawrence) Lewis, he was born on June 10, 1930, in Monroe, Michigan. He was a graduate of Flat Rock High School and attended Cleary Community College in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1949 to 1952, and was stationed in Arizona. He married Rosemarie Berg on February 16, 1952, in Phoenix. They lived in Garden City, Michigan and Flat Rock prior to moving to Minnesota in 1977. They moved to Red Wing in 1992. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Red Wing and a founding member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Flat Rock. He enjoyed music, gardening and model airplanes and boats.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemarie of Red Wing; seven children, Debbie (Tom) Carlson of Mound, Minn., Cathi (Stan) Wieckowski of Garden City, Glenna Lewis of Columbia Heights, Minn., Patty Lewis of Mound, Nancy (Gordy) Kadrlik of Farmington, Minn., Jackie Lewis of Hopkins, Minn., and John (Bridget) Lewis of Robbinsdale, Minn.; nine grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and beloved family members.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Christ Episcopal Church with Father Charles Uhlik officiating. Pallbearers will be John and Corey Lewis, Stan and Stanley Wieckowski III, Gordy and Matthew Kadrlik, and Tom and Erik Carlson. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, South Rockwood, Michigan. Visitation will be from 5 ? 8 p.m. Monday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, with a vigil service at 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the time of services Tuesday at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Lewy Body Association.
