Gifford Neal Moorhouse

Gifford Neal Moorhouse, 89, of Red Wing, died Thursday, November 2, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born June 24, 1934 in Cannon Falls to Delbert and Rosie (McKinley) Moorhouse. He attended school in both Hastings and Connon Falls. He enlisted in the Air Force after school and served until his honorable discharge in 1962. He married Katherine Dankers on August 15, 1959 in Lake City.

Gifford enjoyed collecting diecast classic cars. He was witty and sarcastic, and enjoyed goofing around with his family. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons; Duwayne (Lisa Ericson), Dale, Dan, and James (Kristy Demorett); 5 grandchildren, Samantha, Ryan, Mathew, SaVaya, and Braxton; 4 great-grandchildren, Paisley, Thomas, Connor, and Robet; 3 brothers, Bob (Sue) Gentzell, Rod (Liz) Fitcha and Clint Glasby, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and one aunt, Hellen Holst.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Katherine; son, Robert; 2 sisters, Diane and Shirley.
