OBITUARY: Gertrude M. Buck Funeral service for Gertrude M. Buck will be Friday, November 10, 2006 at 11AM at Mahn Family Funeral Home Larson Chapel in Zumbrota. Reverend Tom Isaacson will officiate. Music will be provided by Cindy Wilson, organist, and Charles Buck, soloist. Burial will follow in the Zumbrota Cemetery. Gertrude died on Friday, November 3, 2006 at the Zumbrota Nursing Home, at the age of 88. She was born Gertrude Mary Buck on February 18, 1918 in Goodhue, MN to Fred G. and Gladys (Stary) Buck. She graduated from Zumbrota High School with the class of 1936. She spent most of her life working for the Bayless Bindery in Seattle, WA. Gertrude retired in 1980 and returned to Zumbrota where she spent the rest of her retirement years. She was a member of United Redeemer Lutheran Church in Zumbrota and a member of Stary-Yerka VFW Auxiliary in Zumbrota. She enjoyed reading and playing the piano. Gertrude is survived by her brother, Charles Buck, of Zumbrota, MN; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Her parents, one sister, Hildred, and two brothers: Lloyd and Morris, preceded her in death.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel on Friday.
