He was born January 18, 1922 in Elmwood, Wisconsin to Delbert and Velma (Turner) Reinhart and lived in Red Wing his entire life. He was a 1940 graduate of Red Wing Central High School and served in the U.S. Army Battery B 346th FABN - 91st Infantry, serving in North Africa and Italy. After military service he worked at Eames Market before starting a job at Corner Grocery, where he was employed until retiring in 1982. He was a charter member of Mississippi National Golf Links, recording three hole-in-ones and one eagle in his golf career. He had been a member of the Aurora Ski Club and was currently a member of Disabled American Veterans, VFW Burnson Lillyblad #1218, American Legion Leo C. Peterson #54, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
