Genette M. Cedarblade, age 88 of Hager City, Wisconsin died on Thursday morning, October 9, 2008 at her residence.
Genette was born on February 24, 1920 on Trenton Island, Wisconsin the daughter of Carl and Lydia Johnson. She grew up and lived in Trenton all of her life, graduated from Red Wing High School in 1938 and Northwest Institute of Medical Technology in 1951. She was united in marriage to Myron Cedarblade on December 1, 1964 at Christ Episcopal Church in Red Wing, Minnesota. Genette enjoyed flowers, feeding wildlife around her property, making popcorn balls for Halloween treats, baking, and was also an avid reader.
Genette is survived by her husband Myron "Bud" Cedarblade of Hager City, Wisconsin; son Charles (Sharon) Gardas of Hager City, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cashmere Gardas, son Jay Gardas, and her parents.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials are preferred.
