Gary Struckmann

PINE ISLAND ? A memorial service for Gary Struckmann will be 1 p.m. Monday at Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Mahler Chapel in Pine Island. Interment will be in the Pine Island Cemetery with Military Honors by Charles Cowden Post #184 of the American Legion. Mr. Struckmann 63, of Pine Island, died Wednesday (Nov. 8, 2006) at Seasons Hospice in Rochester. Born July 28, 1943 in Rochester to Frederick and Christine Struckmann, he was raised in the Oronoco and Pine Island areas, he graduated from Pine Island High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force, for four years, where he met his wife. He married Sandra ?Sandy? Hickman on Nov. 19, 1966 at Travis Air Force Base in California. After his discharge the couple moved to Pine Island. He was employed at Crenlo in Rochester and then owned and operated Oronoco Auto Body. He was self-employed and did logging in the Chester Woods area. He was a member of the Charles Cowden Post #184 of the American Legion in Pine Island. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife, four sons, Fred (Stacy) of Rochester; Dennis (Maureen) of Colorado Springs, CO; Phillip (Kathy) of Kasson, MN; and Matt of Pine Island; a daughter Annette Lora of Rochester, eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two brothers, Randy (Kathy) of Pine Island; and Mike (Lisa) of South Carolina; and two sisters Josephine (Manuel) Lopez of Rochester; and Diane (Donald) Schroeder of Rochester. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death. Memorials are suggested to Seasons Hospice or the family. Friends may call one hour before the service Monday.
