Fuller Carl Flynn, 90, of Wabasha formerly of Prairie Island, died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Wabasha. He was born January 13, 1920 in Prairie Island to Charles and Rosella (Kuhns) Flynn. He had attended schools in Prairie Island and then worked on the farm. He married Katherine Hontich on May 31, 1954 in South Dakota. He worked for Swift and Company in South St. Paul for 25 years until his retirement and then continued to farm. He has lived in Wabasha since 1996. In his younger years he had enjoyed boating.
He is survived by 3 step-children, Steve (Caroline) Funari of St. Augustine, Florida, Mary (Jim) Brenner of Bay City, Wisc. and Marilyn Funari of Bay Point, Calif.; 8 step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katherine; 5 sisters, Evelyn Nauer, Fern O'Day, Ann McClelan, Abagail Moser and Margaret Kichler and 5 brothers, Chauncy, Earl, Robert, Donald and an infant brother.
Funeral service will be 1 pm Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Father Theo Park officiating. Burial will be at Burnside Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association.
