Frederick Meincke

Frederick H. Meincke age 72 of Lake City died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Rochester. Fred was born July 12, 1934 in Red Wing to Harry & Florence (Stehr) Meincke. Fred graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City in 1953. After graduating he farmed in Mount Pleasant Township in Wabasha County, with his father and brother until his father died. He and his brother continued farming until 2006 when they sold the farm. He was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church in Lake City. He enjoyed working on all the mechanical things around the farm. He also served on the St. James Cemetery Board. Fred was survived by his brother John of Lake City, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Lake City with the Rev. Dennis Valleau officiating. Burial will be in St. John?s Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church.
