Frank "Keno" E. Westerberg

Frank "Keno" E. Westerberg, 60, of Red Wing, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017, at his home. Frank was born to Dwelton E. and Irene (Mickolichek-Jones) Westerberg on April 30, 1957, in Minneapolis. He attended Coon Rapids Senior High School. After graduation, Frank moved to Red Wing to take a job at the Red Wing Shoe as a splitter, where he worked for 37 years. Frank was a member of the Redmen's Club in Red Wing. He was a simple man with a warm heart, who loved his family, especially his mom. Frank also loved his two cats, Peaches and Cream. He was a big fan of the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings, but he was mostly a Harley Davidson guy. He loved to hang out with his buddies and play pool. Frank also enjoyed fishing, music, and was a very skilled guitar player.
He is survived by his mother, Irene (Julian Olson) of Red Wing; brothers, Andy (Cathy) Westerberg, Charles (Deanna) Westerberg, Thomas (Lycia) Westerberg, Buddy (Shelly Morken) Westerberg; sisters, Marlene (Gary) Albrecht, Deborah (James) Thuman, Beverly (Chad) Grieger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dwelton E. Westerberg; paternal grandparents, Caryl and Roy Westerberg, and paternal step-grandfather George Krasbach; maternal grandparents, Donal Mickolichek and Mary Jones, and maternal step-grandfather, "Smokey" Jones.
Funeral service will be 4 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with a visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Stockholm Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
