OBITUARY: Frank C. Perrett
Funeral service for Frank C. Perrett will be at 11 AM on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wanamingo with Reverend Byron Meline officiating. Music will be provided by Alice Rostad. Casketbearers will be his grandchildren. Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the Wanamingo Veteran Honor Squad.
Frank Clarence Perrett, age 84, of Wanamingo, died on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Kenyon Sunset Home. He was born on November 6, 1923 in Wanamingo to Clarence and Ella (Betcher) Perrett. He graduated from Wanamingo High School and entered the United States Army Air Corps, serving during World War II in France. Following his honorable discharge, Frank returned to Wanamingo where he worked a short time for the railroad and later for Cenex. On February 15, 1947 he married Hazel Husbyn in the Minneola Lutheran Church Parsonage, and following their marriage, they lived in Wanamingo. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Wanamingo Quamme VFW Post #186. He enjoyed playing golf, and cards, especially cribbage and ROOK.
Frank is survived by his wife, Hazel, two sons: Leslie Perrett and Michael (Marilyn) Perrett and two daughters: Mary Jo Rothen and Vicki Burdick, all of Wanamingo and daughter, Linda (Michael) Hoseth, of Liberty, MO; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters: Ruth Bringgold, of West Concord, MN and Edith Witt, of Bettendorf, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Thomas Perrett; and two sisters: Eunice Evenson and Betty Perrett.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, May 30, 2008 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and one hour preceding services at the church on Saturday.
