Frank C. Fulton, 88, of Red Wing, died January 30, 2014, at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park. He was born February 10, 1925 in Orion Township on a farm in Chatfield to Frank and Nellie (Oliver) Fulton. He attended rural school in Chatfield. In 1942 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Aleutian Islands with the 11th Air Force. Later, he served with the 503rd Airborne parachute regular combat team in the Pacific where he received two Bronze Service Stars and the Combat Infantry Badge. He served with the 11th Airborne in the occupation of Japan, then with the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he was honorably discharged from the hospital in 1947. On June 5, 1947, he married Miohne Mae Carlson in Red Wing. He worked for Carlson Grocery, Northwestern Bell Telephone and ATT. He was a member of the VFW and the DAV.
He is survived by his wife, Miohne and son, Dennis (Ruth) Fulton. He is preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and four brothers.
Burial will be at 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
