Frank Charles Dement, 87, of Cannon Falls, died Monday, February 20, 2017, at the Lake City Care Center. He was born on May 2, 1929, in Goodhue County to Frank and Marie (Haske) Dement. For many years he resided and helped out at the farm of Gordon and Nancy Mills of rural Cannon Falls. Since 2012, he has resided at the Lake City Care Center. He enjoyed swimming, working on the farm, visiting, reading his bible and participating in all the activities at the nursing home.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with Gordon and Nancy Mills family of Cannon Falls and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Lake City Care Center Chapel. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing, Online condolences may be sent to www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
