Frank Joseph Anderson Jr., 63, of Zumbro Falls, MN, passed away Saturday, January 27th, 2018 in a car accident in Red Wing MN.
Born on April 19th, 1954 to parents Frank and Marcia (nee Hawkinson) Anderson of Prior Lake, MN. Frank graduated from Benilde High School and received his undergraduate degree in English Education and Literature from the University of Minnesota.
Frank was dedicated to relief work in war-torn areas with ARC in SE Asia, the Balkan Peninsula and Afghanistan. He was a committed advocate for the developmentally challenged while working at Bear Creek Services in Rochester and ARRM in St. Paul. He was also an avid farmer, animal lover, hunter, fisherman, and musician who would always entertain with his quick wit and sense of humor.
Frank loved his work, his friends, his family, his animals and most of all, his sons. He is survived by his sons, Martin (Crysta)Anderson and John (Marissa)Anderson; grandchildren, Harvey and Lorelei, his mother, Marcia Anderson, sisters, Barb (Mike)Heinz, Kathy Anderson, Terry Anderson; brothers, Tim (Cathy)Anderson, Dan (Isabelle) Anderson, Jeff (Katy) Anderson; former spouse, Siripen Seepaya. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Frank is preceded in death by his father Frank J Anderson Sr, sister, Mary Hoody and maternal and paternal grandparents.
All are invited to attend a wake at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel at 1022 W. Lyon Ave Lake City from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Frank's memorial service will be Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 1 pm at United Methodist Church 213 Oak St. Lake City with Reverend Phillip Schmidt officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday.
