Francisco "Pee Wee" Rodriguez, 71 of Kansas City, Missouri and Prairie Island, Minnesota, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at his home in Prairie Island. He was born June 19, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri to Joaquin and Sophia (Juarez) Rodriguez. He attended schools in Kansas City. Throughout his life he was self-employed as a landscaper. He was very athletic and had enjoyed playing baseball as well as dancing, jazz music and cooking Mexican food.
He is survived by the love of his life and best friend, Cheryl White of Prairie Island; 5 children, Lori Ann Costanza of Kansas City, MO, Tonya (Paul) Stewart, Francisca White and Jacqueline (James) Mercer all of St. Louis, MO and Francisco White of Prairie Island; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and 3 siblings, Josephine Ortega of Kansas City, MO, Mary Roseburrow of Missouri and Edward Rodriguez of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers Arthur, Charlie and Henry Diaz and 1 sister, Guadalupe Rodriguez.
Visitation will be Monday, February 25, 2013 at Prairie Island Community Center starting at 4 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Services will then be held in Kansas City, Missouri later in the week at the McGilly Midtown Chapel with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
