Frances Barbara (Marten) Kronebusch

Frances Barbara Kronebusch, 95, of Zumbrota, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus in Rochester, MN.

Frances was born on April 6, 1928, to Ronell and Angeline (Schleck) in Wabasha, MN. She attended Minneiska School through 8th grade. She married Cletus Kronebusch on August 30, 1950, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Minneiska, MN. He passed away in 1977. They lived in the Plainview area and then later in the Zumbrota and Mazeppa area. The couple were blessed with 6 children. Frances retired from the Zumbrota Nursing home as a dietary aide. She was a member of the Church of St. Paul. She loved bingo, eating out, going to Treasure Island Casino, and going for car rides.

She is survived by 6 children, Kenneth, Ronald, and Leroy Kronebusch, Mary (Jared) Jackson, Diane Hoops, and Rose Kronebusch; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer (Jack) Weyer, Matthew (Erica) Hoops, Derek Jackson, Tony Jackson, Lee (Tami) Hilleshiem, Leslie (Amanda) Hilleshiem, Bradly (Stephanie) Hilleshiem, Alicia (Quintin) Bryl; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 3 sisters, Mary Jacobi, Ellen Seim, and Theresa (Eugene) Marking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cletus; sister, Rita Weins; brother, Walter Marten, and son-in-law, Larry Hoops.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Paul in Zumbrota, MN. Father Randal Kasel will lead the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Oak Ridge, Winona County, MN.
