Fran served on the Goodhue County Fair Board for thirty-three years and was also a 4-H leader.

Her love of bowling kept her bowling for fifty-one years at Evergreen Lanes beginning when the bowling alley opened. She served as a League Secretary and Association Secretary and participated in several state and open National tournaments.
