Floretta M. Lutjen age 89 of Lake City passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Lake City Nursing Home.
Floretta was born August 2, 1919 in Lake City, MN to Alferd & Alice (Luhmann) Reckmann. She married Gernot Lutjen September 3, 1941 at First Lutheran Church in Lake City. They farmed on his family farm in Mount Pleasant Township until retiring in 1980. They moved to Lake City after retiring. Gernot passed away January 26, 1995. Floretta was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of West Florence. She enjoyed crocheting, dancing and spending time with her family.
Floretta is survived by a daughter, Berdell Blaisdell of Lake City; two grandsons Cory (Jeanine Berg) Blaisdell of Lake City, Mark Blaisdell of Lake City. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Frederich Reckmann.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church of West Florence with Rev. Christopher Hoppe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the services at the church.
