Florence Wohlers

Florence Kathryn Wohlers of Lake City died Saturday May 13, 2006 at the Lake City Nursing Home. Florence was born July 20, 1918 in La Crosse, WI to Frank & Ebbe (Allen) Kelley. She attended school in Lake City. Florence married Emery Wohlers October 6, 1937 in Lake City. Florence volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Lake City Hospital and at the Lake City Nursing Home. Her husband Emery died January 25, 1983. She was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church in Lake City. She was a past president of the Lutheran Women?s Missionary Society. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and playing cards. She is survived by a son, Bruce (Joan) Wohlers of Lawrence, KS; two daughters, Vonnie Kohrs of Oakdale, MN; Carol (John) Caulkins of Diamond Head, Mississippi; five grandchildren 10 great grandchildren.. She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev. Scott Carmichael & Rev. Dennis Valleau officiating. Burial will be in St. John?s Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church.
