Florence Luella Meyer, 91, of Red Wing, died Friday February 18, 2011 at St. Brigid's at Hi Park. She was born on March 21, 1919 in Red Wing, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Leutje) Feindt. She attended Hay Creek School and Red Wing High School. She married Victor Meyer on September 16, 1944. They lived on a farm for many years before moving to Red Wing. Victor died August 28, 1977. Since 1988 she has lived at Jordan Towers. Florence was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, cross-word puzzles, playing cards, and spending time with family.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Carol) Meyer of Bel Air, MD and Richard (Sylvia) Meyer of Red Wing; three grandchildren, Ron Meyer, Melissa Newton, Julie Pearson; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor; parents; two brothers; and three sisters.
Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday February 23, 2011 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Reverend Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
