Florence Lunde

Florence Lucille Lunde, 103, Red Wing, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Red Wing Health Center. She was born April 17, 1908 in Elgin, MN, the daughter of William J. and Lena (Shade) Gregor. She grew up in Elgin, graduating from Elgin High School in 1925. She graduated from Winona Business College and married Albert C. Lunde in Winona on October 6, 1928. They farmed in the Winona and Belle Creek areas until 1960, then operated a grocery store in White Rock from 1960 - 1967. After retiring, they moved to Vasa. Albert died July 4, 1970. She moved to Red Wing in 1971. Florence has resided at the Red Wing Health Center since March, 2011. She enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include four children: Greg (Jaqueline) Lunde of Frederic, WI., Paul (Bonnie) Lunde of Hastings, Charles (Karen) Lunde of Red Wing and Linda Toombs of Red Wing; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Lydia Cich of Browerville, MN; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert; two brothers, Ken and Bob Gregor; and one sister, Avis Anderson.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2011 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Tim Anderson officiating. Burial will be in United Lutheran Cemetery in Zumbrota, MN. Visitation will be 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011, and for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
