Faye A. Martin, age 82, of Red Wing, died Monday, December 25, 2006, at Fairview Seminary Home. She was born on May 23, 1924, in Hemingford, Nebraska, to Harry and Jessie (Clayton) Wildy. She was a graduate of Hemingford High School and attended Nebraska Wesleyan University. She married Leonard ?Len? Martin on October 7, 1944, at the Army Air Force Base in Dodge City, Kansas. While her husband was stationed overseas, she worked for the Nebraska Stockgrowers Association in Alliance, Nebraska. They lived in Lincoln, NE for ten years; Richfield, MN for nine years; Peoria, IL for seven; and Roseville, MN, prior to moving to Red Wing in 1976. She was an active member of first United Methodist church, Chapter P of the PEO, and the school PTA. She enjoyed flower gardening, her family and baking special birthday cakes for her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Leonard of Red Wing; three children, Dennis D. (Barbara) Martin of Shorewood, MN, Monty L. (Debra Drew) of Maplewood, MN, and Pamela K. (Brian) Larson of Arden Hills, MN; four grandchildren; one sister, Doris Hudson of Hemingford, NE; many friends and other relatives. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2007, at First United Methodist Church, Red Wing, with Reverend Wayne Walther officiating. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 ? 7 p.m. Thursday, January 4, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the time of services Friday at the church. Memorials are preferred to First United Methodist Church, American Cancer Society or Red Wing Area Food Shelf.
