Faye Ann Lindblom

Faye Ann Lindblom, 72, of Vasa, died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at The Gardens in Cannon Falls. She was born September 7, 1944 in Red Wing to Charles and Carmen (Bischoff) Duffing. She graduated from Red Wing Central High in 1962 and went on to work for Riviera Kitchen. In 1970 she married David Lindblom. They later divorced. Faye had many jobs including a small business selling her arts and crafts, and working at Bic but her favorite was always her daycare. She was a second mom to many children and enjoyed creating a safe and welcoming home for the kids growing up in and around Vasa. She was a generous person and taught her kids that although they might not have much there was always someone who had less. Faye was always willing to help those who needed it. She was also a great cook who specialized in comfort food.

She is survived by her fiancé Rudy Del Castillo of Vasa; four children, Troy (Karen) Lindblom of Vasa, Eric (Crystal) of Goodhue, Ann (Jason Lundquist) of Red Wing and Charlie (Jenn) of Hastings; 14 grandchildren, Hunter, Hailie, Jedediah, Autumn, Wyatt, Evelyn, Alex and Emily Braford, Alyxis, Caitlyn, and Cody Lundquist, Jonah, Keira, Jameson Heaston; brothers, Charles "Duff" (Alida) Duffing of Red Wing, Ernie (Gloria) Duffing of Hasting, Susan Kirchner of Red Wing and sister-in-law Jeanne Duffing of Red Wing.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harvey Duffing; brother-in-law, Joe Kirchner and sister-in-law, Ieleen Duffing.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Vasa Lutheran Church with Reverend Maureen Hagen officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at church.
