Faith M. Bodelson

Faith Marie Bodelson, 54, of Red Wing, died Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Red Wing Health Center. She was born Oct. 1, 1956 in Red Wing, to Weldon and Sandra (Rundquist) Bodelson. A 1974 graduate of Red Wing Central High, she also attended Mankato State University. She married Brian Bernstein and they lived in Harris, Minnesota. They later divorced but remained good friends. She returned to Red Wing where she had resided at Jordan Towers. There she had been on the resident council and she enjoyed getting together with her neighbors and playing cards with them. She was a member of United Lutheran Church and she also volunteered for the Mississippi Shuffle, helping fold thousands of bags for the luminaries used in the walks each year. Faith enjoyed reading, going for car rides and crocheting.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Sandra (John) Schade of Hager City; 4 siblings, Laurie (Warner) Andrews of Hager City, Robert Bodelson of Hammond, Wisc., Julie (Jim) Brunkhorst of Red Wing and Sharon Shidler of Rochester and 8 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, and 2 brothers, Steven and John "AJ" Bodelson.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011, at United Lutheran Church with Reverend Randall Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Spring Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Thursday, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials preferred to Fairview Red Wing Hospice or the church.
