Evelyn Marie Eide

Evelyn Marie Eide, 79, of Red Wing, died Monday, May 13, 2013 at St. Brigid's at Hi Park in Red Wing. Evelyn was born on November 2, 1933 to Eric and Bertha Schmidt in Denbigh, ND. She graduated from Granville High School near Denbigh and as a young lady, worked various jobs in Minot. On April 9, 1960 she married Lavern Eide. The couple later moved to Red Wing in 1973. Evelyn was a long time member of First Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed reading and watching the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings.
She is survived by her two sons, Mike (Ann) Thorson of Bismarck, ND and Lee Eide of Red Wing; five grandchildren, Troy, Marisa, Bryan, Andrea and Niki as well as three great-grandchildren, Henry, Rylan and Charlie.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Lavern; three brothers, Fritz, Julius and Larry Schmidt and one sister, Shirley Peterson.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m, Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the Chapel at St. Brigid's at Hi Park with Reverend Brian Scott and Debby Bradley presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior at St. Brigid's. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Brigid's at Hi Park.
