Evelyn J. Betcher age 88 of Goodhue died on Thursday morning, August 2, 2007 at the Zumbrota Nursing Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 6, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Grace Lutheran church in rural Goodhue with Reverend Andrew Krause officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 5, 2007 from 4:00 � 7:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home � Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Evelyn Johanna Raasch was born on June 22, 1919 in Zumbrota Township, Goodhue County, MN to Edward & Celia (nee Lother) Raasch. She grew up in rural Zumbrota and attended country school. On April 17, 1937 she married Lauren E. Betcher at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They made their home in Zumbrota until moving to the Betcher family farm in 1944. They farmed until 1964 when they purchased the Hagen Resort, near Aitkin, MN. In 1978 they retired and sold the resort and moved to Goodhue.

Evelyn was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Goodhue Pioneer Club. She enjoyed crafting, bingo, cooking and baking.

Evelyn is survived by three daughters, Jeanette (Tyrone) Ecklund of Oracle, AZ., Shirley (Jack) Rosener of Goodhue, and Sylvia (LaVern Franke) Hoffman of Lake City, one son, John (Adeline) Betcher of Mazeppa, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Marcella (Kenneth) Santelman of Hutchinson and Lucille (Bud) McWaters of Zumbrota and one brother, Edward (Delaine) Raasch of Zumbrota. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Lauren, one brother, Melvin and one sister, Marion. Casketbearers are her grandchildren, Sheri Pinger, Jeri Lose, Barb Carston, Tim Hoffman, Diann LaFond, Gail Davis, Tony Rosener, John Betcher, Jim Betcher, Josh Betcher and Lori Holland.
