Eunice D. Roble age 94 of Bellechester died on Monday, August 4, 2008 at the Mayo Health Systems, Lake City Nursing Home where she had resided for less than a week. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, August 8, 2008 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bellechester with Father Bruce Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 4:00 � 8:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home � Larson Chapel in Zumbrota, with a prayer service at 7:30 PM and on Friday one hour prior to the mass at the church.
Eunice Dolores Spilman was born on April 25, 1914 in Red Wing, MN to William and Clara (nee Miller) Spilman. She grew up in Bellechester and attended St. Mary's School in Bellechester. On May 24, 1935 she married Clarence A. Roble in Red Wing. They lived in Red Wing before they started farming in the Bellechester area. They retired from farming in 1975, but continued to live on the farm. Eunice was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bellechester and enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, fishing, watching the Twins and seeing the fall harvest being brought in. Eunice is survived by two sons, Roy (Char) Roble of Byron and Tom (Sharon) Roble of Mazeppa, twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, son, Roger Roble, granddaughter, Barb Roble, daughter in law, Sandy Roble and two sisters, Irma Majerus and Marcella Bystrom.
