OBITUARY: Eunice Hinz
Funeral services for Eunice Hinz will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2007 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Minneola Township with Reverend Randall Kuznicki officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Lutheran Church ? Minneola Cemetery.
Eunice died on Friday, October 5, 2007 at Fairview Seminary Home in Red Wing. She was born Eunice Marcella Duden on January 14, 1923 in Red Wing, MN to John "Heine" and Florence (Mann) Duden. She attended school in Minneapolis. After graduating from South High School in Minneapolis she worked for Ma Bell in the accounting department. On July 22, 1943, Eunice married Bernard August Hinz in San Francisco, CA while he was in the military. After their marriage they settled in Goodhue Co. on the Hinz home farm. Bernard died on June 14, 1995. Eunice moved into Zumbrota in 1998. She was a long standing member of St. John's Lutheran Church ? Minneola and the Zumbrota VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, cooking and sports.
Eunice is survived by her two sons, Tom (Debbie) Hinz of Zumbrota, MN and Scott (Ann) Hinz of Louisville, Kentucky; one daughter, Debbie (Russ) Lunde of Zumbrota; ten grandchildren: Jeremy Hinz, Aaron Hinz, Ryan Lunde, Megan Lunde, Haley Hinz, Connor Hinz, Tyler Hinz, Matthew Hinz, Logan Hinz and Steven Hinz; one great grandson, Corban Lunde; and her sister, Jean Hillestad of Owatonna, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard; and one son, Michael.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Mahn Family Funeral Home Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and one hour before services at the church on Monday. Casketbearers will be her grandchildren: Jeremy Hinz, Aaron Hinz, Ryan Lunde, Megan Lunde, Haley Hinz, Connor Hinz and Tyler Hinz.
