Eugene Theodore Becker, 83, of Lake City, died Thursday, January 30, 2025 in Wabasha. He was born to Kermit and Mildred (Laqua) Becker on September 26, 1941 in West Albany Township, Minn. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City, class of 1959. On June 29, 1963 he married Rojean Tibor at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kellogg, Minn. He served in the army reserves after high school and was called up during the Berlin Crisis, serving his time at Ft. Polk, La.
Eugene worked at Federal Mogul in Lake city for 49 years, retiring in 2009. He was an avid sportsman and athlete, enjoying; hunting, fishing, baseball, softball, bowling, and golf. He was inducted into the Lake City Hall of Fame for bowling in 2002 and bowled in the National Bowling Tournaments for 35 years. He also enjoyed following his grandchildren's events. He was a member of the American Legion and Knights of Columbus.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rojean; daughters, Justine Becker of Red Wing and Jodeen (Tom) Kirchner of Hager City, Wis.; 5 grandchildren, Taylor (Shane Jensen) Becker, Dylan Hanson, Zachary, Jacob and Lucas Kirchner; brother, Delmar (Kathleen) Becker of Plainview, Minn.; sister-in-law, Nancy Tibor; brother-in-law, Dick Ozmun; as well as nieces, nephews and many good friends.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Verena Rademacher, brother-in-law, Philip Rademacher, nephews Dale Rademacher and Ronald Tibor; great nephew, Chad Schmit, great niece, Jennifer Hynes; 5 brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, and his parents.
Per Eugene's wishes no services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
