Etta Mae Olson

Etta Mae Olson, 86, of Euless, Texas and formerly of Red Wing died Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at Harris Methodist Hospital in Bedford, Texas. She was born on May 10, 1920, in Martell, Wisconsin, to Maynord and Lydia (Daden) Vollmers. She graduated from Central High School in Red Wing and worked for a short time at Holst and Vogel Law Office in Red Wing. On July 24, 1942 she married Edward J. Olson in San Bernardino, Cal. In August 1967 they retired to Euless, Texas. She was a member of St. Stephen?s Episcopal Church in Hurst, Texas and former member of Christ Episcopal Church in Red Wing. Survivors include her loving husband, Lt. Col. (ret) Edward; one son, Gary (Cindy) Olson of Fort Worth, Texas; one granddaughter, Shannon (Scott) Belanger of Keller, Texas; two great grandchildren, Sara Grace and Skylar Nicole Belanger and one brother, Francis Vollmers of Euless, Texas and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2007, at the Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas. Graveside service will be held in the spring at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing. Local funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
