Ethan Thomas Hedeen

Ethan Thomas Hedeen, age 10, of Hager City, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Red Wing. He was born, the oldest of four children, to Tom and Sarah (Skorude) Hedeen. Ethan was a busy 10 year old boy and lived his life out like he was starring in his own action film, complete with sound effects. He loved to make things, from building stuff out of his Legos to sewing, he was crafty and creative. Ethan could often be found playing with his gecko, riding his bike and exploring nature, especially rocks and fossils-he was a budding geologist. His brothers were his best buddies and he loved playing with them along with his cousins and friends. He participated in Red Wing ELC, 4H, Red Wing Homeschool Group/Co-op and he had also attended Camp Pepin. He was a member of New River Assembly of God and was active in the youth group New River Soldiers. He had a strong faith and knew his Savior.
He will be missed by many, including his parents, Tom and Sarah Hedeen; his 3 brothers, Evan, Eli and Everett; maternal grandmother, Terry Skorude and paternal grandmother, Julie Hedeen; great grandmothers, Elle Knudsen and Jule Johnson; aunts and uncles, Greg Hedeen, Kris (Michael) Delk, Steve (Hannah) Hedeen, Valerie (Scott) Josephson, Laura (Mike) Gesme, Mark (Ronda) Pelzer and Matt (Amanda) Skorude, as well as numerous cousins, other family and many friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at New River Assembly of God with Reverend Tom Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Trenton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday, March 31,and for one hour prior to the service, all at the church. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
