Esther Copley

Esther R. Copley age 97 of Lake City died Monday January 29, 2007 at the Lake City Hospital. Esther was born January 21, 1910 in Wabasha, MN to Charles & Christena Koelmel. She grew up in the Wabasha area. Esther married George Copley June 27, 1927 in Winnona, MN. They lived in Lake City until moving to Bellchester where she has lived the last 30 years. George died July 26, 1993. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and spending time with her family. Esther is survived by three sons, Duaine (Diane) of Zumbrota, Viryle (Carol) of Zumbrota, Rocky (Michelle) of Dennison, MN; seven daughters, Mary Harrold of Apache Junction, AZ, Donna (Randy) Wiseman of Bradenton, FL, Darlene Nelson of Ellsworth, WI, Zelda Cureton of Pine Island, MN, Marci (Virgil) Luhmann of Zumbro Falls, Rose Borgschatz of Pine Island, Char (Phill) Schramske of Byron, MN; many Grandchildren; Great grandchildren; great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; four sons, Delano, Harold, Curtis & Eugene; two daughters Ardena Copley & Geraldine Ward; five sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Lake City with Rev David Neil officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Wabasha. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church on Friday.
