Emma LaRock passed peacefully into Eternal Life on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at age 94.
She was born June 25, 1919, on a farm west of Hoffman, MN to Albert and Hedwig (Hattie Reich) Steinlicht. After graduating from high school in 1938, she attended business school in Minneapolis. She was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank until 1945. She married Neil LaRock, February 2, 1946, in St. Louis Park, MN. They moved to Coleraine, MN, where Emma resided until 2008, when she moved to Red Wing, MN.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Neil in 1991 and sister Ruby Henry in 2002.
She is survived by her daughters Lynn (Joseph) Johnson of Red Wing, MN and Darcie (Norman) Pemberton of Loretto, MN, and her son Lee LaRock of Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren Anthony (Dannielle Zielkie) and Joseph (Maisa) Cappola, Mitchell and Matthew Pemberton, Jacob and Sarah LaRock; great granddaughter Carmella Cappola; and one sister Dames (Merl) Johnson, of Elbow Lake, MN; niece Mary (Bill) Tradewell and nephew Jay (Betty) Johnson.
Memorial service will be at Christ Church, Old Frontenac, MN on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 2 pm. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Coleraine, MN. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
