Elmer Stock

Funeral services for Elmer Stock will be held Friday January 10th at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island. The Reverend Marie Anderson will officiate. The visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church on the day of the service. Interment will follow at Pine Island Cemetery. Mr. Stock, 80, died Sunday January 5, 2025 at his rural Pine Island home.

Elmer Herman Stock was born October 24, 1944 in Red Wing, Minnesota, the son of Herman Julius Stock and Ruth Frieda Ann (neé Bublitz) Stock. Following graduation from high school, Elmer enlisted in the US Navy and served four years. He then worked briefly at Crenlo, after which he returned to the family farm to assist his mother with the crops and livestock. Into retirement Elmer could often be found roaming the farm on his Ranger. He was a member of the American Legion in Millville.

Mr. Stock is survived by his special friend, Jessica Hoehne; his children Troy Stock of Elgin, Rhonda (Rodney) Walters of Arcadia, Wisconsin, Craig Stock of Oronoco, and Katherine Stock of Pine Island; grandchildren, Aaron Stock, Maria Gundlach, Rachael Stock, Jordan Walters, Riley Walters, Jazmine Brown, Tanner Jackson, and Dillion Daniels; sisters Irene (Dennis) Kullot of Eyota, and Gladys (Steve) Vagt of Mazeppa; and his former wife Judy Carol Stock of Plainview. He was preceded in death by parents Herman and Ruth Stock, a daughter-in-law Joy Stock, niece Monica Kullot, as well as aunts and uncles.
