Elizabeth Jean (Becky Traxler) Murray
Becky lost her courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer Oct 3, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born July 20, 1949. She grew up in St. Charles and Rochester, graduating from Mayo High School in 1967, and from St. John's Hospital Nursing School in Red Wing in 1969. She was united in marriage to Jim Murray July 14, 1985. They lived the last 20 years in Hattiesburg, MS and most recently in Herando, MS. Becky had a true zest for life and a very big heart. She enjoyed people, both at work and in her personal life. She was a wonderful host, and loved entertaining.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Jim; their son, Steven; her parents, Dick and Val Traxler; sisters, Lynda (Norm) Nordstrom, Mary (Nils) Anderson, Teresa Wick; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of her life 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Mahler Chapel in Pine Island. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial to Pancreatic Cancer Research (PanCan.com) would be appreciated.
