Elizabeth Louise Hoshor, 88, of Red Wing, Minnesota formerly of Peoria, Illinois, died Sunday at the Fairview Seminary Home. She was born on April 3, 1919, in Peoria, Illinois to Willis and Henrietta (Heinrich) Harney. She graduated from Academy of Our Lady High School and attended Bradley University. On February 17, 1940, she was married to Roy Hoshor. They lived many years in the Peoria area. Roy died on April 16, 1971. After his death she received her RN degree. For 10 years she worked as a nurse at Methodist and Proctor Hospitals in Peoria. For the past eight years she has lived in Red Wing. She was a member of Church of St. Joseph, Red Wing Senior Center and Red Wing Golf Club. She enjoyed being with family and friends, playing bridge and needlework.
Survivors include three daughters, Karen (Don) Buckley of Red Wing, Joyce (Richard) Abel of Bloomingdale, Illinois and Denise Hoshor of Glendale Heights, Illinois; five grandchildren nd five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Don and William Harney and one sister, Kathryn Wagner.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, at the Church of St. Joseph in Red Wing with Father Thomas M. Kommers officiating. Burial of cremains will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Peoria, Illinois at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin, Brad and Jeff Buckley, Daniel Abel and Jaclyn Schretter. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.
