Elizabeth Alfrieda Erstad

Elizabeth Alfrieda Erstad, 95, of Lake City, passed away April 15th, 2011 at the Lake City Nursing Home. She was born January 18, 1916 to August and Anna (Ehlers) Holst. She grew up in the Goodhue area. She was married to Einar Erstad on February 24, 1944. They lived on the Erstad family farm west of Zumbrota. Einar passed away in 1947 then Elizabeth moved to Lake City.
She was a member of St John's Lutheran Church in Lake City and the St. John's Ladies Aid. She worked at the Lake City Nursery and Pepin Heights Orchard. Elizabeth enjoyed crafting, cooking, and traveling.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Duane (Maria) Erstad of Bogota, Colombia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, Herman Holst and one sister, Dorothy Roeschen.
The funeral will be Monday, April 18th at 1:00pm at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev Daniel Kroll and Rev. Dennis Valleau officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City. Burial will be at Grace Lutheran Cemetery in rural Goodhue.
