Eleanor Rosina Huber, age 84 of Red Wing died on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Fairview Seminary Home.
Eleanor was born on September 27, 1924 in Belvidere Township, the daughter of Dominic and Frances (Jansen) Krier. Eleanor worked as a waitress at Ted's Café until she married Arley Huber on June 10, 1949 in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. They moved to Red Wing in 1951. This past year Eleanor and Arley celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Eleanor was a member of First Presbyterian Church, life member of the Burnson-Lillyblad VFW #1218, Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post #54, and Eastern Star. She enjoyed needlework, craftwork, cooking, bird watching; and had also enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors over a cup of coffee
Eleanor is survived by her husband Arley of Red Wing; two daughters Judith (Roger) Kjome and Susan Huber both of Red Wing; two grandchildren Rebecca (Jim) Walter of Hortenville, Wisconsin and Eric (Tara) Kjome of Elmhurst, Illinois; five great-grandchildren Nick Loberger, Madi Walter, Lexi Walter, Lauren Kjome, and Kaitlyn Kjome; sisters Grace Henning of Eden Prairie and Rose (Joe) Lozano of Long Beach, California.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Stella Muckelberg and Maxine McEwen; brother Robert Krier, and an infant son.
Memorials are preferred to the Book of Golden Memories or Helping Paws.
