Eleanor Hahn

Eleanor Dorothea Hahn, 93 of Red Wing, died Monday, September 19, 2011, at Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. Eleanor was born January 12, 1918, in Plato Village, Minnesota, the daughter of Peter and Bertha (Laash) Hoof. She attended Minneapolis schools, graduating from South High School. She worked for the Federal Reserve Bank, Betcher Insurance Agency, and Pearson Insurance Agency. On May 7, 1949, she married Frederick "Fritz" Hahn of Red Wing. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, and enjoyed crafts and sewing.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Frederick Hahn of Red Wing; daughter Joanne of Denver, Colorado; son Peter of Red Wing; sisters Dorothy (Clifton) Blaness and Mabel (Walter) DePuy; brother Kenneth (Jean Walagoski) Hoof; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Helen Aanenson; brother LeRoy Hoof; and grandson Clifford.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at First Lutheran Church with Reverend Brian Scott officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the church building fund.
