Eleanor R. Griffin

Eleanor Rose Griffin (Swift), 87, of Red Wing, passed away at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Lake City on Saturday, March 15, 2025. She was born on March 29, 1937 to Edward and Clara Swift. She graduated from South St. Paul High School, class of 1955. Eleanor was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a long-time member of the church choir.  She had also been a member of the Order of Eastern Star #75 of Lake City and the YMCA.

Eleanor is survived by her sons, Dirk Griffin and David (Deb) Griffin; daughter,Derrinda Griffin; granddaughters, Emily and Cassidy Griffin; grandsons, Dustin (Amanda) Griffin, Derek Griffin, Dean Griffin; great-granddaughter, Kylie Griffin; great-grandsons, Ryker, Kaeden, Sawyer, and Owen Griffin; niece, Laurie Howard; and nephew, Steven (Jackie) Swift. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Griffin; parents, Edward and Clara Swift and two brothers, Dolliver Swift and Darwood Swift.

Eleanor requested there be no funeral services held. A private family burial will be held Burnside Cemetery. Funeral arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
