Eleanor "Ellie" S. Gauger, 82, Red Wing, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Fairview Seminary Home. She was born March 7, 1929 in Winona, Minnesota, the daughter of Benjamin and Clara (Becktle) Stansfield. She was a 1946 graduate of Winona High School. She married William Gauger on December 11, 1948 in Winona. They moved to Minneapolis, then lived in the state of Washington from 1952 until 1971 when they moved to Red Wing where she was employed at Sears and Red Wing Shoe. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, camping, crocheting and bird watching.

Survivors include her husband, William; three children: Donna Steffenhagen of Red Wing, Pat (Terry) Reglin of Ellsworth and Dave (Nan) Gauger of Miesville; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and one daughter-in-law, Rita Gauger of Hays, Kansas. She was preceded in death by one son, Bob; one daughter, Barbie; one grandson, Ben Gauger; and three brothers: Ken, Elwood and Ben.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Reverend Lynne Rigg officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wabasha, Minnesota. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and on Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
