Eleanor A. Carlson age 92 of Lake City died Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at the Lake City Nursing Home.

Eleanor was born March 11, 1915 to Henry & Mary (Meerkins) Holst in Mount Pleasant Township in Wabasha County. She attended Country School in Mount Pleasant Township and St, John's Parochial School in Lake City. She married Roy D. Carlson October 12, 1947 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City. Before she was married Eleanor did house work for families in the Lake City area. She also worked at the Royal Café in Lake City, and Hormel's. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City, and the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed baking and playing cards. Roy died July 4, 1978.

Eleanor is survived by four sons, Jan (Sally) of Loveland, CO, Craig of Lake City, Wayne (Janet) of Lake City, Douglas of Lake City; one daughter Diane (Steven) Prigge of Winona; four grandchildren, Matthew (Jaimie) Carlson, Andrew (Cassie) Carlson, Ashley (Byron Ramirez) Carlson, Wade Carlson and one step-grandson, Ryan (Kassie) Marking; two great grandchildren, Maddison Marking, Mallorie Carlson; one brother Harold (Harriet) Holst of Austin, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband; one grandson Benjamin Carlson, four brothers, and three sisters.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 10, 2007 at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City with the Rev. Scott Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the services at the church on Friday. Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Pallbearers will be Wade Carlson, Ryan Marking, Andrew Carlson, Ashley Carlson, Allan Holst.
