Eleanor Barth

Eleanor M. Barth age 82 of Dodge Center, formerly of Pine Island died on Tuesday evening, July 17, 2007 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Mahler Chapel in Pine Island with Father Harry Jewison officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Eleanor Margaret Cornwell was born on January 5, 1925 in Waseca, MN to Claude and Margaret (nee Wilson) Cornwell. She grew up in Milton Township and graduated from Pine Island High School in 1943. On November 12, 1947 she married Francis "Dutch" Barth in Pine Island. They made their home in the Pine Island area and Eleanor worked for Iwen Box Factory, Pine Island Post Office and was a secretary at the Mayo Clinic and Production Credit Association. Eleanor enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Eleanor is survived by her husband Francis "Dutch" Barth of Dodge Center, one daughter, Teresa (Robert) Borchert of Faribault, two sons, Brent (Myrna) Barth of Pine Island and Brian (Barbara) Barth of Rockwell, TX; four grandchildren, Erin Borchert of Faribault, Ann Stahl of Kasson, Jennifer Barth of Zumbrota and Kristin (Chad) Glaze of Merrill, WI., three great grandchildren and one sister, Patricia Stucky of Tucson, AZ. Eleanor was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert Schuma, and her siblings, Maude Shay, Frank Cornwell, Flossie Swarthout and Barbara Egan.
